PARIS The Design Automation Conference has made a call for contributions to the technical program.
The 47th DAC will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, in Anaheim, Calif., from June 13-18.
DAC organizers highlighted that, for the 47th edition, it is soliciting papers dealing with tools, algorithms and design techniques for all aspects of electronic circuit and system design. Submissions are accepted in categories such as Research papers, User Track papers and "Wild and Crazy Ideas" (WACI).
DAC said it is favoring research papers in the areas of design automation for many-core architectures, system prototyping technology and embedded software design and debug. In addition to proposals in emerging areas, DAC said it encourages Special Session proposals on the impact of cloud computing on design automation.
DAC highlights that the deadline for research and WACI papers is fast approaching as they have to be submitted before Nov. 19. Student Design contest submissions are due before Nov. 25 while User Track Papers and Workshop Submissions are open until Dec. 15 and Jan. 29, respectively. Same deadline for co-located event proposals, specified DAC.
All submissions must be made electronically at www.dac.com.
In parallel, DAC organizers announced they have appointed members of the executive committee whose role is notably to oversee the exhibition and trade show, to prepare the technical program and to manage conference operations.
Sachin Sapatnekar, distinguished McKnight University Professor and Henle Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Minnesota, will serve as General Chair of the 47th DAC and lead the Executive Committee.
The executive committee gathers volunteers from across the electronics, semiconductor and EDA industries as well as academia.
The vice chair and finance chair is now Leon Stok of IBM Corp., while the technical program co-chair becomes Nikil Dutt of the University of California, Irvine.
DAC added that the technical program co-chair is now Narendra Shenoy of Synopsys, Inc. and the EDA Industry Chair is Yervant Zorian, Virage Logic Corp.
This is just to name a few.
