PARIS — EDA startup Teklatech A/S (Copenhagen, Denmark), provider of floorplanning and clock distribution network solutions, announced it has raised $1 million in a round of financing led by a group of private investors and Scandinavian venture fund Vkstfonden.

Commenting on its investors' renewed confidence, Dr. Tobias Bjerregaard, CEO and founder of Teklatech, declared: "We will leverage not only the economic benefits of this round of funding, but also the experience and expertise of the people behind the money. Our customers are harvesting the benefits of our strengthened position, which allows us to continue our world class support and our cutting-edge technology innovations."

Teklatech continued to express strong optimism when saying that it is on the door step to entering the US market and foresees "great prospects in the coming year."

This follows the release at the DATE conference and exhibition last April of Teklatech's version 2.0 of its FloorDirector EDA too. The company then claimed the advances in FloorDirector now address "challenges" in EMC/EMI compliance and allow its use with mixed-signal designs.

Teklatech was founded in 2006, as a spin-off from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). In May 2007, the startup raised $1.5 million in funding. Main investors were Ulrik Danneskiold-Samsoe Holding and founding investor, SEED Capital Denmark.
